Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 5, 2026
Great Lakes Copper Ltd. (“GLC”, “we”, “us” or “our”) explains in this policy how we collect, use and disclose information through glcopper.com, including our contact and careers forms, regional content preference and website measurement tools.
Information you provide
When you contact us, we collect the information you enter, such as your name, email address, telephone number, province or state, inquiry type and message. When you apply for a role through our careers form, we also collect your cover letter and uploaded résumé. Please provide only information relevant to your inquiry or application and avoid including sensitive information that we do not need.
We use this information to respond to inquiries, provide requested product or company information, direct requests to the appropriate team and assess employment applications. Submitting an inquiry or application does not by itself subscribe you to a marketing mailing list.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, our website infrastructure and measurement services may process technical and usage information, including your IP address, browser and device information, approximate location, pages and URLs visited, referring websites, visit times and interactions with the site. Some information is collected even if you do not submit a form.
We use this information to operate and secure the website, diagnose problems, understand how visitors find and use our content and improve the website. Information attached to a form submission can be associated with the contact details you provide.
Canada and United States content preference
The Canada/United States selector changes regional website content; it is not a language translation service. The website uses available country information derived from your internet connection and browser language settings to select an initial region. You can change that selection using the website selector.
A first-party cookie named country stores the selected region (Canada or United States) for up to one year, unless you clear it earlier or your browser removes it. This preference helps display relevant regional content and is separate from analytics and campaign attribution. It does not determine your legal residence or change our Terms of Use.
Form attribution and session storage
Our website reads recognized campaign and referral information from links used to reach the site. This can include UTM parameters such as source, medium, campaign, term, content and campaign ID, as well as click identifiers present in a URL. These values can exist on email, social, referral or other links; their presence does not mean GLC is running paid advertisements.
The attribution script uses browser session storage to retain recognized campaign values and the initial landing page and referrer while you navigate within that tab or browser session. Session storage generally clears when the tab or browser session ends, although browser session restoration can preserve it. It is separate from the regional preference cookie.
Our contact and careers forms include hidden fields for UTM source, medium, campaign, term and content, and a Google click identifier (gclid) when available. On submission, these values are saved with the inquiry or application to help us understand its source. Values stored only in your browser are distinct from information retained in a submitted form record.
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
We use Google Analytics, deployed through Google Tag Manager, to understand website traffic and engagement. Measurement can include page views, referral and campaign information, browser and device details, approximate location and interactions. Our tag configuration includes phone-link clicks, links to the contact page, scroll depth and a form-submission event associated with visits to the thank-you page.
Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to distinguish visits and sessions. Google Tag Manager manages the deployment of measurement tags. These services involve the processing of usage information by Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with the website through behavioral measurements, heatmaps and session replays. This can include page navigation, clicks, scrolling, device information and interaction patterns. Clarity uses cookies and other tracking technologies, and Microsoft processes website usage information in accordance with its own privacy practices. We use these insights to identify usability problems and improve the site.
We apply explicit content masking across the website, including forms, before Clarity loads. Clarity runs only after optional measurement is accepted. Masking applies to page content; it does not anonymize page URLs or all technical metadata.
For information about Microsoft’s collection and use of this data, including its own purposes and available privacy choices, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Your choices
Optional measurement is off until you accept it in our privacy controls. Your choice covers Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and session-based form attribution. Choosing “Reject optional measurement” keeps these tools off; contact and careers forms remain available. Advertising storage and advertising-personalization consent remain denied. Use the “Privacy settings” button on the website to change or withdraw your choice at any time. We remember your choice in browser local storage for up to 180 days, unless you clear it earlier. Withdrawing consent stops optional measurement on subsequent page loads and clears the site’s optional first-party measurement storage where accessible; it does not erase records already received by us or our providers.
You can change the regional content preference using the Canada/United States selector. You can also use browser controls to delete or restrict cookies and website storage. Blocking storage or scripts may affect regional preferences, attribution or other website functions. Deleting browser data does not delete information already submitted to us.
Google provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. This add-on applies to Google Analytics, not to every service used by the website. You can contact us about our handling of your information or to withdraw consent where applicable, subject to legal and contractual restrictions. We will explain any effect on our ability to respond to your request.
Service providers and disclosure
Website operation and our handling of inquiries and applications involve service providers, including hosting, website maintenance, form processing, email delivery and analytics providers. Information may also be shared with relevant GLC personnel and related companies where needed to address your request. We may disclose information where required or permitted by law.
Service providers may process information in Canada, the United States or other countries. Information processed outside your jurisdiction may be subject to the laws and lawful access requirements of those locations. The linked Google and Microsoft privacy statements describe those providers’ practices.
Retention and security
Retention depends on the type of information and the reason it was collected, including responding to requests, recruitment, ongoing business needs and applicable legal or recordkeeping requirements. Browser storage, submitted form records, email correspondence, server logs and analytics records have separate retention settings; clearing one does not necessarily remove the others. Contact us for information about a particular record or to request deletion, subject to applicable requirements.
We use safeguards to help protect information against unauthorized access, misuse, loss and alteration. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.
Access, correction and privacy questions
To ask about this policy, request access to or correction of your information, request deletion, or raise a privacy concern, contact info@glcopper.com and identify your request as a privacy inquiry. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Requests are subject to applicable law.
