Aqua-Shield® Plastic-Coated Copper Tube
Aqua-Shield® coated copper tube delivers proven copper performance with added protection for buried or exposed potable water systems.
The seamless blue or red polyethylene coating resists corrosion, simplifies identification, and allows the tubing to be installed right out of the box. This design saves time and ensures lasting reliability in demanding conditions.
Applications
Designed for potable water transport in residential, commercial, and municipal water distribution systems. Suitable for direct burial, under-slab installations, or areas exposed to acidic soils and concrete.
Material
- Manufactured from UNS C12200 high-purity copper alloy (99.99% copper)
- Extruded linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) coating in blue or red for corrosion protection and visual identification
Specifications
- Minimum .025-inch polyethylene coating applied for consistent barrier protection
- Continuously marked every 2 feet with size, specification details, manufacturing code, and footage
- Offered in straight lengths or coils to suit a wide range of installations
Types: Type K and Type L, Soft Temper
Sizes and Configurations
3/4 inch OD, 1/2 inch OD, and 1 inch OD coils (60 ft or 100 ft lengths)
1½ inch OD and 2⅛ inch OD straight lengths (20 ft)
