Gas-Tec® Plastic-Coated Copper Tube
Gas-Tec® coated copper tube combines the proven performance of seamless copper with a durable yellow polyethylene jacket designed for easy identification and reliable corrosion protection.
Ready to install out of the box, this tubing is ideal for underground or exposed gas service where direct burial or harsh environments require added peace of mind.
Applications
Engineered for transporting natural gas or liquid propane in residential, commercial, and industrial systems. Suitable for installations under slabs, through concrete, or in corrosive soils.
Material
- Manufactured from UNS C12200 copper alloy (99.9% pure copper)
- Coated with high-visibility yellow linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) for consistent corrosion resistance and clear identification in the field
Specifications
- Minimum .025-inch polyethylene coating extruded onto the copper for uniform protection
- Continuously marked with size, specification details, manufacturing code, and footage every 2 feet
Types: Type L, Type K, and Refrigeration-Grade Tubing
Sizes: 1/4 inch OD to 1⅛ inch OD
Lengths: 50 feet, 60 feet, 100 feet, and 250 feet
